North Island Tour: 4th to 10th July 2010

Basic Itinerary:

Sand board down the giant sandhills of Ninety Mile Beach.

Day one:
Excitor fast boa
t to Hole in the Rock (jet boat tour of the Bay of Islands),
Russell-former capital of New Zealand.
Day two:
Day trip to Cape Reinga (dramatic meeting point of the Pacific ocean and Tasman sea and where spirits of the dead, according to Maori tradition, set off for the after-life)
Short board walk through the magnificent Puketi Kauri Forest
90 Mile Beach Sand boarding on the giant dunes
Day three:
Waitangi Treaty House (the cradle of our bicultural society)
Russell (Former capital of New Zealand onceknown as the “Hell Hole of the Pacific”),
Pakiri, one of our most stunning east coast beaches for a horse trek.
Day four:
4 WD expedition up Mt Tarawera volcano followed by a guided walk around and into crater,
Mitai Maori Cultural show,
The facial tattoo on this carved figure is known as a ‘Moko’.Day Five:
Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland, New Zealand’s most colourful natural volcanic environment
Visit the famous Huka falls and nearby honey centre
